Dr. Jason Booza is a demographer, researcher and author who currently serves on the faculty of Wayne State University’s Department of Geography and Urban Planning. Dr. Booza is also the interim director of the Department’s Michigan Metropolitan Information Center.

Dr. Booza’s research topics include Polonia in America, recent immigration trends, racial and ethnic integration in metropolitan neighborhoods, mixed-income/mixed-race communities, low income households in mixed-income neighborhoods, crime and safety, poverty in the U.S., population and population density, among other topics. His research has been funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Ford Foundation, the Brookings Institute and the Michigan Non-Profit Research Center.
