The Piast Institute currently an accredited representative, Aleksandra (Sandy) Porter who is fully accredited and has twenty years of immigration experience as well as an outstanding reputation within our various communities within Michigan. ● Labor Certification - Permanent residence - 4 year process

● Adjustment of status (adjustment application, orientation regarding procedure and timeframes)

● Removal of Conditional Residence, I-751 (consultation procedure and required documentation)

● Waiver of Removal of Conditional Residence, I-751 (evidence required and eligibility for waiver)

● Waiver of prior deportation, I-212 (ascertain need for waiver and orientation as to timeframe)



LEGALIZATION – RELATED SERVICES

● Legalization, Phase II application

● Waiver for grounds of excludability I – 690 (regarding evidence to accompany application, etc.)

● Family Unity (orientation for eligibility, preparation of application, assembly of documentation, etc.)

● Appeals of denial of Legalization (includes filing appeal form, requesting full copy of file)

● Appeal Brief (includes full briefing of appeal once FOIA is received)

● Legalization status checks (letter to Southern Service Center to inquire about outstanding cases)

CITIZENSHIP SERVICES

● Citizenship applications, N – 400 (includes orientation as to eligibility, procedure, etc.)



DEPORTATION SERVICES

● Representation at Master Calendar hearing (includes full orientation with client regarding eligibility for relief, courtroom procedures, courtroom representation)

● Representation at Merit Hearing (includes full merit hearing preparation with client and thorough review of case legal requirements, etc.)

● Preparation of Suspension of Deportation application (includes full client orientation regarding eligibility for suspension, legal)

● Preparation of Asylum application (includes full client orientation, explanation of legal standard, evidence required, full written account of client’s fear of persecution)

● Bond redetermination hearing (includes full interview with client in detention and representation at hearing to request bond reduction)

● Change of Venue (includes full preparation of case to request change of venue)

● Motion to Reopen (includes full preparation of case to request reopening)

● Stay of deportation (includes filing of application to stay deportation to District Director)

● Appeals to BIA (includes filing of appeal form, preparation of appeal brief, on-going counseling with client)

● Asylum Adjustment (includes preparation of application and filing of application with INS upon asylee’s eligibility to adjust status)



TEMPORARY PROTECTED STATUS / DEFERRED ENFORCED DEPARTURE
